entrepreneurs in the Springfield Suburban region. The annual average earnings of full-time
entrepreneurs was $34,200 and the average for part-time entrepreneurs was $46,900. Both of
these averages were above the annual average wage for the region of $27,300.1
The most common educational background of entrepreneurs in this region (both full-time
and part-time) was a high school degree. The largest concentrations of full-time
entrepreneurs were in Construction and Other Services. The largest concentrations of
part-time entrepreneurs were in Construction, Agriculture/Forestry, and Mining/Utilities.
