This mini-tutorial will describe software tools and data structures created by the Missouri Census Data Center (MCDC) to permit public exploration of its extensive collection of public data. The audience is presumed to be knowledgeable regarding basic WWW conventions and tools, and to have some interest in finding out what sort of information the MCDC is holding and how they can get access to it. Little, if any, experience with any kind of programming language is assumed, and little or no experience in doing SQL-type data queries.
